4.7 inch Mescalero Jasper sphere. Mescalero, from Northern Nevada’s soon to be closed jasper mining area that has produced Dead Camel, Fire Ledge and Red Falcon, has been the standard by which other regional jaspers are measured. Noted for its diverse color and brecciated patterns that takes a high polish. Fissures and pits are common in this jasper.
